Filling a much-needed vacuum to an extraordinary curricular activity, the ex. Cadets of college came together on February 13 2021 in what will go down memory lane as 'founding of Cadet Foundation of St. Peter's College, Colombo 04'.
Keeping in line with Catholic traditions, the day's activities commenced with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at the college chapel. The mass was attended by ex. Cadets from vintage to present and serving officers of armed services were seen in full military attire. Following the holy mass, the congregation marched and assembled in front of the college 'Memorial of the Gallant'.  Following a brief prayer, floral tribute was made in remembering all Peterite's who made supreme sacrifice for the peace and sovereignty of our beloved motherland which followed the custom of sounding the retreat at 1800 hrs by bugle call.

The Inaugural General Meeting was called at the college clubhouse where Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo - Rector of St. Peter's College, Mr. Ravika De Silva - President OBU, Mr. Dilanka Peiris, Chairman OPSC was seen representing the college, and the Lt. Col. Shirantha Gunawardena, Commanding Officer 3rd Battalion, National Cadet Corps, Maj. Balasooriya, Major in charge of Training and battalion adjutant seeing amongst the distinguished invitees present.

A steering committee was elected by vote, where Mr. Dilan Wijesuriya as the President, Mr. Lakmal Perera as Secretary,  Mr. Suresh Dias as the Treasurer. A further 10 members was also chosen as Vice President's, Assistants and committee members for the office bearing of inaugural calendar year 2021/22.

Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, Mr. Ravika De Silva, Mr. Dilanka Peiris, President elected Mr. Dilan Wijesuriya, Lt. Col. Shirantha Gunawardena, the commanding officer and others spoke on the importance of cadeting towards development and advancement of a child and where the newly found cadet foundation be an actor for the facilitation of upliftment and continuity of cadeting at St. Peter's College. 

Lt. Col. Gunawardena took the opportunity to officially hand over a copy of the cadets curriculum of activities guide book to Rev. Fr. Rohitha Rodrigo, Rector of St. Peter's college.

The Inaugural General Meeting was followed by a fellowship night and dinner for all gathered for the evening.
