Jayasekara saw the college Air Cadet platoon fighting hard at Air Cadet Assessment camp with the platoon being placed 3rd in drill with an overall placement of 6th within Air Force boy’s assessment camp. Then Sergeant Jayasekara was the college head prefect of 2011 & was honoured with ‘Peterite Gold’ in same year. Subsequently the worrier second Lieutenant Jayasekera opted to join SLA Commando Regiment where he successfully completed his training in achieving to bear the prestigious Maroon beret. With this officer passing out as a commando, our college saw three officers serving the Commando Regiment of Sri Lanka Army at a given time and all three of them being Ex.
