Sgt. Aponso G. M. T. M.

Sgt. Aponso G. M. T. M. led the platoon to NCC Training Center, Rantembe. This will be the last camp to go on full compass/long march which involved clearing of ‘Asnaduwa Peak’ & down hilling to reach ‘Uma Oya’ in marching back to training centre. Capt. A. A. D. O. Perera SLAAOC who was a member of this platoon joined Sri Lanka Army. Enlisting himself June 10 1995, Officer Cadet Perera was selected for BMA training where he subsequently passed out, served motherland until he made supreme sacrifice in Veppamkulam, Vavuniya on day of April 14, 2000.
