Sgt. Cooray M. A. J. was the platoon sergeant where boys boarded a special train from Colombo to Kandy and from there trucked to Rantembe training centre. This was the long run routine & mode of transport when attending long distant camping, however, this year saw last occasion where a train was commuted in order to attend battalion assessment camp. Sgt. Cooray bears college colours for cadeting. Flight Lieutenant (Rtd.) D. N. T. Silva BSc, MSc (Aero Eng) MRAeS, MAIAA who was a Lance Corporal of this platoon, after persuading his overseas studies in aeronautical engineering enlists with Sri Lanka Air Force under direct entry 37(V) to commissioned and posted with No.2 Heavy Transport Squadron of Sri Lanka Air Force.
