Sgt. Hettiarachchi A. S. led college platoon to battalion assessment camp at Elpitiya. Platoon Sergent himself enlists with SL Army in 1993, Serves 22 years with Ceylon General Service Corps (CGSC) before retiring. After 48 years of direct administration by Sri Lanka Volunteer Force, NCC was taken under direct administration of the Ministry of Defence.
