Sgt. Fernando M. S.

Sgt. Fernando M. S. led the platoon to battalion assessment camp held at Elpitiya. He later went on to be promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in same year through to 1989. Sgt. Fernando is a college coloursman. This year saw amalgamating Sri Lanka Cadet Corps (SLCC) & Police Cadeting, with the establishment of National Cadet Corps (NCC). The Chairman of Reserve Affairs Committee at this time was distinguished old Peterite Lieutenant General J. E. D. Perera VSV.
